Whether you order 2 prototype PCBs or 1000, the set-up costs are always the same!

The procedure

Our specially designed software package DAN frequently scans our orders database each day and sorts the PCB-POOL^® orders according to type, order-size and delivery time. DAN then uses an integrated optimisation software package to propose a panel design from a chosen manufacturer which makes optimum use of panel space and is at the most economical price.
Finally, using CAM-VB-Scripts, the different boards are arranged on the proposed panel design. All tools needed for production such as photoplots, rout programms and checkplots etc., are created according to the requirements of the specific manufacturer.

PCB-Designers share costs

The newly created panel, which is up to 460 mm x 400 mm in size, is now treated by the manufacturer as one single PCB.

One single PCB means that set-up, drilling and laminating costs occur only once.

The resulting invoice is shared by all participating PCB-POOL^® partners. So now each designer gets a super price!

Despite this cost sharing principal, the PCB price is based on a fixed price per dm² and not on the number of pool participants.
