3D data from EAGLE

IDF (Intermediate Data Format): A data format that only contains coordinates and outlines of circuit boards, drilled holes and components.

Each individual 3D component must be read in by a third party tool or by MCAD software and placed at the intended position.

IDF can be created with EagleIDFExporter.ulp.

OPTION: Eagle’up

A very time-consuming solution for which the data in Sketchup are read in by eagle_up_export.ulp and other programs and plug ins. Sketchup can neither import nor export data. 3D components must be manually created and assigned.

Further options to create 3D data from Eagle can be found online, however these do not create a STEP file directly from an EAGLE.brd file and are more complex and expensive.

Upload your brd file using our configurator.

Your component designators are automatically assigned to appropriate 3D models from our 3D library.

You obtain a finished STEP file AT NO CHARGE.

You can make addtions to and replace components in your MCAD system.

If no MCAD system is available to you, we recommend FreeCAD in combination with a components provider such as 3D Content Central.
