PCB assembly

We assemble your prototype PCBs with SMT and/or THT components at very attractive prices for component counts of 1 or more.

We perform the preparation tasks for PCB assembly while we are producing your PCBs. Generate a convenient online price quotation and order PCB fabrication and assembly in a single operation for your prototype PCBs.

PCB assembly

The SMD assembly is done on one or both sides by a fully automatic pick and place machine, to series-production quality, for components with a
min. size of 0402.









Through-Hole Technology (THT) components are soldered by hand or by a selective soldering machine.








This is followed by visual inspection.
We use only lead-free solder compliant with DIN 32513, ISO, EN 29454 and IPC 650.







The manufacturing takes 8 working days, starting from the day on which all the components required for assembly arrive, including any surplus quantities. The assembly of 1000 or more components takes 12 working days. The total sum of the components is calculated from the sum of the SMD and THT components multiplied by the number of boards to be assembled. Therefore the selection of different delivery date options are not possible on the Online Calculator. Naturally your PCBs will be produced during the assembly preparation time.





Components

We process components supplied by you as well as components purchased for you. If you wish to assemble particular components yourself, this is not a problem - simply note this in the corresponding BOM for your project in the box "Place_YES/NO".










Any components provided by you must be supplied with adequate labelling and in dry condition (see IPC/JEDEC J-STD-020D and IPC/JEDEC J-STD-003B.1).







For components to be ordered for you, we require suitable ordering information such as the supplier and order number.

We will bill you at the currently published price (without markup) of the manufacturer selected by you for the corresponding order quantity. You will receive a detailed list of the individual items, including prices, for your approval shortly before we place the order.


BOM - Bill of Materials

EAGLE:In order to avoid errors and delays with the assembly, we need to receive the BOM file in a special format. For this reason we have put a ULP file at your disposal along with a database of the standard components which we have in stock.

Note:

Assembly can start only after we have received all the necessary components.
When selecting your components, please pay attention to availability and delivery times.



Although we do not expect any major component losses, to be on the safe side we prefer to receive overdelivery of components in order to avoid delays in delivery if components are in fact lost. Please supply 20% extra for passive types with package type 0603 or larger, 100% extra for those with package type 0402.

All components must be supplied in moisture-proof and ESD compliant packaging. All unused components will be returned to you.

Tip: For technical reasons, the printed circuit boards to be assembled are manufactured in panels. Identical printed circuit boards, which are not going to be assembled, are therefore also supplied in this way.

For passive 0603 components or larger, please supply us with a 20% surplus (min. 10pcs). For 0402 components, please supply a 100% surplus (min. 10pcs).

If a component should not fit in the planned footprint, or not be possible to assemble for some other reason, we will be obliged to continue the assembly process without this component and kindly ask for your understanding in this matter.
