IMS CIRCUIT BOARD PROTOTYPE WITH ALUMINIUM CORE

IMS is the abbreviation for Insulated Metal Substrate.
With IMS printed circuit boards, aluminium replaces the usual base material as the carrier for copper.

Aluminium core circuit boards are used wherever heat must be dissipated.
High-power LEDs are the most familiar example of this. Parts of control systems, power converters, etc., however, are often also designed with IMS PCBs.

We currently offer aluminium core circuit boards in our IMS-POOL in the following technologies:

• 1-layer
• Thickness: 1.5 mm (60mil)
• Insulation layer: 100 µm (4mil)
• Copper thickness: 35 µm (1.38mil) Cu single-sided
